Since then, I have shopped almost exclusively second-hand because I can no longer support companies who are stealing independent designers’ work, destroying our planet and taking advantage of vulnerable communities.

Your fashion choices affect our planet and many communities on it. What is fast fashion? How does buying a pair of jeans change a village’s access to water? How do companies reduce the prices of their clothes so drastically? How do social media and targeted marketing fuel fast fashion? And who are the people who make these clothes in unhealthy and unsafe conditions, for extremely low wages?
